Would be most interested to sample RB27 for the Canadian Market, as this is an FRS country. Also interested to know if unit has an accessory connector?
is this like many new models with USB charging? could supply pictures, video or story.

  2. As a ham radio operator since 1993 , I am interested in adding / testing GMRS / MURS radios so my wife ( not a ham) and I can communicate while camping remotely. We cannot depend on cell service and would like to check the range and functionality of UHF GMRS vs VHF MURS radio to see which works best for us. N3QZF Andy.

  3. I would like to test the RB27V in my work environment as an security installation technician. I’m frequently in areas with poor cell phone coverage and needing to communicate with my team members while we adjust tight beam radios and security cameras. The supposed long range ability would be a huge plus, as I have been 500m+ away from my partner in poor weather and on a hillside in southern California. Send me a radio and I’ll be sure to put it to the test.

  4. Hello Retevis, my name is Herry from West Malaysia, I am licensed ham radio operator since 2016 and my callsign is 9W2HXP.

I am interested to test your new model Retevis RB27B (FRS) with our local UHF repeater at my place and of course will do also some test for license free frequency at my country. I have bought your Retevis RT15 before, i’m really suprised with the result when i trying to transmit our local UHF repeater and the result is good receiving, audio near crystal clear.

The main reason why I chose this model is because of the size of the walkie talkie, it looks small and is easy to carry wherever you go, easy to store in a sling bag, pocket bag or whatever. The length of the antenna is also important when not too long, so it is easy to keep in a bag.

Frequency range for this walkie talkie it should be at 400-480Mhz and 2W output power, this is actually what i need, hopefully its also come with programing software, it will make it easier for me to set Amateur Radio Frequency, Malaysia Personal Mobile Radio (PMR) UHF 446Mhz or Malaysia Public Radio Service (PRS) UHF 477Mhz.

Hope to get good news from you,
    Thank You Retevis.

    1. hi,
Thanks for your message about want to test our new model RB27B.
But here we need to tell:
1, FRS is the license-free radio, but as you said, in your country, the license-free radio is the PMR446 band.
2, If you want to test our FRS radio RB27B with your local UHF repeater, I am afraid our radio is not match. Because the FRS radios with the fixed frequencies, you can not change the frequencies, and don’t allow to connect with the repeater.
3, Because of the license-free band, so you can not program the radios with the amateur radio frequency.

So we are so sorry you can not test our this radio, please understand!
      Cherry

      1. Thank you Miss Cherry for let me know, no problem if i not allowed to do that, i understand. Maybe i can test for RB27B PMR446 if you dont mind.
